Alecia Sanchez is the Chief Strategy Officer of the California Medical Association (CMA). In a previously role as a member of CMA’s lobbying team, she led many successful advocacy efforts, including the removal of non-medical exemptions for school vaccination, and the passing of an historic package of anti-tobacco legislation. With over 15 years’ experience in the legislative arena, Ms. Sanchez has advocated on a wide range of issues, including the establishment of California’s Human Right to Water policy and the creation of the California Child Welfare Council. She also worked as a legislative aide to two state assemblymembers.
