Webinar Title
Championing Park Equity
Description
A walk in the park is just what the doctor ordered! Being outside helps reduce stress, depression, and anxiety – but not all communities have access to, or feel welcomed, in nature spaces. Learn how Park Prescription (ParkRx) programs are bringing new audiences to parks to enjoy the health benefits of nature.
Learning Objectives
- Scientific evidence about the mental and physical health benefits of time spent in nature.
- How agencies across the state and country are developing community-clinical linkages programs to promote park usage and improve population health.
- How to create green equity and welcoming park experiences to get community residents and families out into nature and the role schools can play in advancing access to park space.
- How to strategically partner with health, healthcare, park agencies, and other multi-sector partnerships to create a ParkRx program.
